It's irritating that nike is right
It is easy to fall into the world as it pulls you in so many directions. You can take that in any size, whether we are talking about the greater world catastrophes , life inside the walls of where you live, or where you work. Peoples demands on your time paid or otherwise. There are still only 24 hours in the day.
The combination of ongoing oppression and violence in the world makes it seem a ridiculous thing to sit here whilst trying to continue juggling all my very privileged balls in the air and saying also at the same time that it has been a bit of a struggle to make anything. What even is the point?
Apparently I need to learn this lesson every year , if not more often, that you just have to begin and it is better to do so than never start at all. As it turns out Art actually does matter . It ripples out in seen and unseen ways.

Second rinse of madder roots before I start extracting colour. Red is on my mind. it may be due to the level of grey we are experiencing . Usually I tend towards pink not red.
Can you spot all the different clothes I have made from these linen offcuts. I have a plan to cut and sew these all together but first there will have to be ironing and ironing is not my favourite and hands covered in paint should not be mixing with linen. (more like common sense less a rule)
I find it so easy to just say to myself you don’t need that run , you don’t need to go and paint or draw or make or sew or fill in the gap and that is my programming .. but really those things make me better able to go out and be in the world a better friend a better partner a better mother a better contributor to society.
So again we learn the classic airplane oxygen mask rule.
